Auxiliary Autism Programs & Services was founded in 2021 by Melanie D White, after opening ABA clinics for clients in the early 2000s, and learning more about the ABA concept, she realized there were not enough options for families of autism. The AU Program was created to give parents an option to ABA, because as in life, the "one size fits all" concept does not work. Our strategies were created based on the child's needs, abilities, talents and interests. She then consulted with parents of autism and several professionals (pediatricians, neurologists, special education teachers, nutritionists, speech and occupational therapists), which helped her to create the Poly-Aggregated Intervention Strategies (PAIS) concept (trademark pending). PAIS is a highly intensive holistic method combining a variety of therapeutic concepts, (ABA, Play Therapy, Music Mediated Intervention, American Sign Language, Floor Time), which also includes behavior intervention, as well as social and life skills development-to provide better opportunities to reach targeted outcomes.
The AU Programs philosophy is a common sense, back to the basics belief that if you focus on the individual child's needs, interest, abilities and talents they are more likely to learn and model what they are being taught.
Our philosophy includes:
Our concept includes a range of strategies implemented to reduce behavioral issues, improve coping skills, develop communication, social, life and academics skills.
Our goal is to provide more opportunities and options for children and young adults with developmental differences be able to self-advocate, have autonomy and to live independently...and to give families piece of mind.
